Glendale "Bugler" - Flag Care

Taking Care of Indoor and Parade Flags

Even indoor and parade flags can suffer from neglect - from failure to have soiled flags properly and frequently dry cleaned; exposure to gas fumes and soot; heavy humid stale air due to lack of ventilation; prolonged exposure to direct sunlight; abusive handling; improper storage; rolling and storing when wet, damp, or dirty; and unnecessary exposure to inclement weather. Give your flag the attention it deserves!

Did you know that while desecration of the American flag is considered unlawful in 48 out of 50 states the consequences vary widely? In some states desecration of the American flag is considered a petty offense and the fine can be as little as $15 (in Illinois), while in others a person is considered guilty of a felony punishable by a fine of up to $3000 and/or jail time (in Oklahoma). Did you know that in New Jersey it's unlawful to fly an international flag unless a US flag of at least equal dimensions accompanies it?
